Leaving WHP (Whiteman Airport, Pacoima, CA)

Sorry for the delay. We had an extremely long day. We had to file IFR to get above the clouds while departing WHP. Here we are somewhere over the San Fernando Valley.

We flew to Tucson for fuel. The winds were extremely gusty. Then, off to Fort Stockton, TX. We flew very close to the US / Mexico boarder, then over El Paso. We swore we heard ATC call it "Del Taco." After landing in more gusty winds in Fort Stockton, we got fuel and headed onto Kerrville, TX. WOW - what a place!!! The people and the hospitality were great! Both of us have decided that Kerrville and Comfort, TX would be a place to return to again. Checkout the Meyer Hotel B&B we stayed at:

We enjoyed watching the deer as we ate breakfast. It was so beautiful in Comfort, TX!
